About Me
Started in S31 back to S32 by 4 class. At Condor back again to S33 then saved by working on REAL 'planes as an Apprentice! (Hal Far '61). It was the making of me, as I returned top of the class and moved on through to CAA - 736 and 809 sqdns at Lossimouth and Hermes then 706 and Ground School Instructor at Yeovilton. Then promoted ('72), AEO Heron Flight and Historic Aircraft Flight. Retired in '78 after 3 privileged years as a Repair Officer at MARTSU, a great team to work with. Operated my own sailing school in the BVI also delivered yachts from USA to the Carib. for 2 years. Worked at BAE Systems (S/W quality), Quality Mgr GEC Computers, GPT management consultant then contract work (BT, IBM, Ford, BACS etc), finishing on the Eurofighter design team as the software change management consultant. Still sail in RNSA yachts whenever I can. Clearly Tiffy - and navy - training allows for great job flexibility! (How has your work life been?).
